You already know I love a good glass of wine—but what really gets me talking is the story behind it. From Vine to Voice started as my senior thesis, and now it’s finding a second life here on the blog, where we get to celebrate the women who are shaking things up in the wine world.
As a sommelier, I’m always chasing what makes a wine unforgettable. Sure, terroir and technique play a role—but let’s be honest: leadership matters too. And when women lead in wine, they do it with heart, grit, and purpose. They’re pioneering sustainability, pushing for more inclusivity, and changing the way we think about wine from the ground up.
Women who’ve pioneered the wine industry faced real challenges—and they opened doors for me that I never take for granted. My hope is that through The Purfect Pour, I can help other women in wine—or any woman chasing her passion—overcome the obstacles in her path. We rise by lifting each other, and there’s plenty of room at the table.
